In the previous episode Matt and Flick won reward challenges. Their prize was to spend the night at a luxury spa, and they were allowed to bring one more person. In a strategic move, they chose Kristie. At the reward, the three decide to form an alliance with Sam to break up the increasingly powerful duo of El and Lee. Flick, concerned about Kristie’s allegiance to Lee takes her aside and promises her that she will stick with the newly formed alliance and Kristie agrees to the do the same. Meanwhile Lee, El and Sam have spent a wet, sleepless night on Exile beach. Tired, cold and hungry Lee says that at the only good thing to come out of their stay on Exile is that Sam is feeling the same way, and will be as depleted as he is at the next challenge. After trying to blindside El at previous tribal council, Sam knows El and Lee are gunning for him and his days are numbered. The only sure way for him to remain in the game is to win the next immunity challenge. The two groups meet again at the reward challenge, where it’s revealed they will be competing as teams – the Exiled team and the Spa Reward team. The winning team gets an advantage in tomorrow’s immunity challenge.
