Imagine going to your dentist with a toothache...
How comfortable would you be if your dentist listened to you describe the pain and started drilling without taking an x-ray or even looking at your teeth. The dentist cannot make an accurate diagnosis or treat the problem without imaging or “looking” at what they need to treat.
Similarly, using a brain SPECT scan, in conjunction with a detailed medical history and a self-evaluation questionnaire, Amen Clinics can pinpoint and treat mental health issues (the proverbial “toothache”).

As a wholistic based dentist, evaluating my patient’s health history and nutrition habits has become a standard. I’m able to see the type of acidic drinks and food they consume, whether it’s a GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) based food, or if it has corn syrup in it. I need to understand their nutritional views and how all these foods affect their body.
These foods can lead to anxiety, stress, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and can critically affect the blood flow and oxygen to the brain.
