Jesus often referred to Himself as the "Son of Man," a title that emphasized both His humanity and divine mission. This term, rooted in Daniel 7:13, prophesied a glorious figure who would come with the clouds and be appointed as King over an eternal and indestructible Kingdom. Jesus, born of a virgin in humility, lived His life as a servant, always about His Father’s will. His disciples believed Him to be the prophesied Son of Man and Messiah. Jesus’ teachings, such as His proclamation of living water during a temple feast, revealed His authority and divine identity, even though many, including religious leaders, rejected Him. His life culminated in the ultimate sacrifice on the cross, making temple sacrifices obsolete and establishing a new covenant of grace. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus became the cornerstone of a new, living temple—the church, composed of His followers as living stones. Though many rejected Him, including attempts to stone Him, Jesus continued in His mission, spending time in prayer and communion with God. On the Mount of Transfiguration, Peter, James, and John witnessed His divine glory and heard the voice of God affirming His Sonship. Despite the desire to memorialize locations tied to Jesus' earthly life, God’s focus is on salvation and His eternal Kingdom, rather than earthly shrines or traditions.
