Bending time with chaos and the Rhythm and Time Toolkit

Описание к видео Bending time with chaos and the Rhythm and Time Toolkit

Learn how to use ~chaotic functions~ to modulate time and humanize your rhythms with Taylor and Wakefield’s Generating Sound and Organizing Time (aka GO) and my Rhythm and Time Toolkit (aka RTT) for Max.

Chaotic functions use weird math to generate signals that are neither random noise nor easily predictable. Think of it like an LFO that isn’t periodic. GO has a TON of these, and they make great modulation sources. Here, we use them to modulate time using RTT’s rtt.upright~ object. It also adds another trick with rtt.onepulse~ to transform the chaotic groove into more of a *generative pattern*.

Note for this patch to work you must have both the GO abstractions (which you can get by buying the book) and the RTT objects (which you can install in the Max Package Manager).
