What is Nubia, and how did Nubia and Egypt influence each other.

Nubia is the Southern Part of Egypt. It extends along the Nile River, starting from the city of Aswan (which is 425 miles south of Cairo) and extends to the border of Egypt and Sudan. Some consider the Nubian region to extend into Sudan as well.

Asking the question how did Nubia and Egypt influence each other is a bit misleading, as Nubia is part of Egypt. Although the people of Nubia, think of themselves as Nubian, they also think of themselves as Egyptian. Nubians speak Arabic which is the national language of Egypt, but they also speak their own language which is Nubian.

The 25th dynasty of Ancient Egypt comprised Pharaohs who were from the Nubian Region. ( There are about 30 dynasties of Ancient Egypt, depending on whom you listen to.)
