Joshua Goldstein, chairman of the US Division of Herut North America, meets with Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman to discuss the unity of Jews, and awareness of how it influences the world.

3,800 years ago, Abraham collected a group out of 70 nations of ancient Babylon and united them around the principle “love will cover all transgressions.” Later on, that group became known as the people of Israel, or Jews (from “Yehudi”—united). Centuries passed, and although Jews are still here, the purpose and role of their existence—to connect above the human ego and reveal the upper force of love and bestowal in their unity—was lost.

Today, when all humanity enters a global crisis, having a method of connection above the human ego is a necessity. The wisdom of Kabbalah says that relations between people define all other levels of nature: inanimate, vegetative and animate. This is how we influence our environment and cause global problems in all areas. If Jews remember what Abraham taught them, and share this knowledge with the world, we’ll learn how to come together. However, if they fail to do so, the world crisis will be their fault.

Nature has two inclinations: evil (human ego) and good (positive connections between people). The task of Jews is to cover evil with good and teach everyone how to do that. This, or even information about such an approach, will open up opportunities for rebuilding the world and bringing it to a balanced state.
