Welcome in the New Year with the ABC’s annual New Year’s Eve concert and fireworks celebration!

Broadcasting live from the Sydney Opera House’s Northern Boardwalk, hosts Charlie Pickering, Zan Rowe and Concetta Caristo are back to help you count down to midnight and welcome 2025 with a bang.

Ahead of the 9pm Calling Country fireworks, will be a live performance and animations projected on the Harbour Bridge, curated by triple j Blak Out host, Nooky.

From 9.10pm our audience has front row seats to the New Year’s Eve concert featuring an impressive lineup of artists and, as part of the celebrations, we will kick off triple j’s 50th year by featuring some classic Hottest 100 songs and hearing from some iconic triple j hosts.

At midnight, Sydney’s world-famous fireworks display will illuminate the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, and the surrounding skyline, bidding a dazzling farewell to 2024 and ushering in 2025. The spectacular show will be accompanied by an original soundtrack composed by Luna Pan.
