CANELO ALVAREZ (MEXICO) vs RYAN RHODES (UK) - FULL FIGHT

So guys there we have it, a young Canelo Alvarez producing a complete shutout and well-deserved TKO victory in his first defense of his WBC World Super Welterweight title, against Ryan Rhodes from the UK.

This fight took place in Canelo's native country of Mexico and was his first major world title, which he won as a vacant belt against Matthew Hatton in his previous fight in the USA.

Now guys, we all know that Canelo has progressed significantly throughout his career and he is currently making a defense of all 4 major belts at the Super Middleweight limit against Jaime Munguia.

Now guys I believe Canelo gets the victory, but what happens next? David Benavidez has moved up to Light Heavyweight and seems focused on targeting the winner of Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev.

Within that division, he has a fight scheduled against Oleksandr Gvozdyk but if there's pressure on Canelo to open up to the fight with Benavidez, given that they are both successful in their next fights, I believe Benavidez will make every effort to come back down to 168lbs.

It will make the job harder but from what I have seen I think he feels he has unfinished business at Super Middleweight.

There are other candidates, such as David Morrell Jr. who has also moved up and looks to fight at Light Heavy in Aug. You also have Bazinyan and Pacheco, both undefeated but also relatively unknown.
