India started coming under British rule from the second half of the 17th century. Discontent was growing in Indian society due to British administrative policies and economic exploitation. The demand for independence and self-rule was increasing in various sections of the society. Many political organizations like Indian Association, Hindustan Socialist Republican Party had directly or indirectly joined the freedom struggle of India. These political organizations were informing the people of the country about the misdeeds of the British through newspapers and magazines and motivating them to join the freedom struggle. In this series of political organizations, another organization is formed; whose name was Indian National Congress. This organization leads the whole India against the Britishers. Its contribution to the independence of India is an important chapter in Indian history. In this audio article, we will discuss in detail the formation of Congress, its development and its important contribution in the freedom struggle.

17वीं शताब्दी के उत्तरार्ध से भारत ब्रिटिश शासन के अधीन होने लगा था। ब्रिटिश प्रशासनिक नीतियों और आर्थिक शोषण के चलते भारतीय समाज में असंतोष बढ़ रहा था। समाज के विभिन्न वर्गों में स्वतंत्रता और स्वशासन की मांग तेज़ होने लगी थी।इंडियन एसोसिएशन, हिंदुस्तान सोशलिस्ट रिपब्लिकन पार्टी जैसी कई राजनीतिक संगठन भारत के स्वाधीनता संग्राम में प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से शामिल हो चुके थे. ये राजनीतिक संगठन समाचार पत्रों और पत्रिकाओं के माध्यम से देश के लोगों को अंग्रेजों की करतूतों की जानकारी और स्वाधीनता संग्राम में शामिल होने के लिये प्रेरित कर रहे थे. राजनीतिक संगठनों की इसी कड़ी में एक और संगठन का गठन होता है; जिसका नाम था भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस. यह संगठन ब्रिटिशर्स के खिलाफ अखिल भारत का नेतृत्व करता है. भारत की आज़ादी में इसका योगदान भारतीय इतिहास का एक महत्वपूर्ण अध्याय है। इस ऑडियो आर्टिकल में हम कांग्रेस के गठन, इसके विकास और स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में इसके महत्वपूर्ण योगदान पर विस्तृत चर्चा करेंगे।
