Election Lawyer: Sotto's push to amend party-list system act will remove ambiguity in law | ANC

Matters of Fact: Philippine Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon supports Senate President Vicente Sotto's push to amend the party-list system act. Sotto last week said, a bill is being crafted to ensure that only marginalized representatives and groups not "working for the overthrow of government" would be qualified to join the party-list race. For election lawyer, Atty. Emil Maranon, Sotto's proposal will remove ambiguity in law.
