This weekend, we attended Voices of Solidarity, a cultural fundraiser held at Troxy London and presented by Health Workers 4 Palestine, raising urgent funds for Gaza’s health workers and medical infrastructure, currently being decimated amid Israel’s ongoing genocide.

After the performances, which included a performance by British singer Paloma Faith, we caught up backstage with British Egyptian actor Khalid Abdalla, Egyptian comedian and TV host Bassem Youssef, British surgeon Victoria Rose, and Spanish Romanian actress and producer Nicole Jenes. They shared what it meant to stand in solidarity with Palestinian health workers and the medical infrastructure under attack.

According to reports, the event successfully raised £1 million for the Palestinian Medical Relief Society and the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s Fund.
