The Kah Yah Shrine sits in the Faron region at Palmorae Beach, east of Lurelin Village. Access is tied to “A Fragmented Monument,” a shrine quest requiring investigation of monument fragments scattered around the area before the shrine appears .
Accessing the Shrine: A Fragmented Monument Shrine Quest
1. Start the Quest:
• Find Garini, standing by two orange glowing pads near the ruins at Palmorae Beach.
• Speak to Garini to begin the quest; you’ll need the Camera function on the Sheikah Slate .
2. Photograph the Fragments:
• Three monument pieces glow blue at night.
• The first piece is east of Garini, among palm trees and rocks.
• The second is west, near crates, at the beach’s opposite end.
• The third sits at Soka Point, the southern sandbar .
3. Return to Garini:
• Show Garini the photos so he deciphers the message.
• Crouch on one glowing altar; Garini follows suit, triggering the shrine’s appearance .
Inside the Shrine: Quick Thinking
1. Left Side Puzzle (Small Key):
• Climb the ramp on the left, pick up a barrel, hop onto the moving platform.
• Stay left to dodge the first obstacle, then place the barrel down and crouch to pass under the next.
• Pick up the barrel and move right for the final gate.
• Set the barrel on the pressure pad to open the gate; open the chest for a Small Key .
2. Right Side Puzzle (Knight’s Claymore):
• On the right, place a barrel onto the platform, ride along, and use a bow to shoot the crystal switch, opening the first gate.
• Shoot the switch again immediately after passing the first gate to open the final gate .
• Place the barrel on the pressure pad at the end.
• Open the chest for a Knight’s Claymore .
3. Unlock the Exit:
• Use the Small Key to open the central locked door.
• Enter to reach Monk Kah Yah and claim your Spirit Orb .
Tips
• The monument fragments glow at night, making it easier to locate; use a campfire to pass time.
• Bring arrows and a bow for crystal switches inside the shrine.
• Methodical movement and crouching with barrels is key to puzzle completion.
• The Knight’s Claymore is a strong reward, plus the essential Spirit Orb .
