When asked about her background, Starlett explains that she is a rarity in the black community, in that she was raised in a traditional household by both her father and mother. Despite agreeing on the benefits of a traditional family upbringing, Starlett and Jesse see almost every other topic in a different light: affirmative action, white privilege, and 'institutional racism.'
