He began the year with 450 career home runs and finished with 499, just barely missing out on becoming the 18th player with 500 home runs. He hit the longest home run in PNC Park history on April 12 (484 feet) and hit three 3 run home runs in three consecutive innings on August 10, tying him with Johnny Mize for most 3 home run games with 6.
