This siren is part of the Spartanburg County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested on the first Saturday of every month weather permitting at 1:00 pm and is controlled by the Spartanburg County Emergency Management Agency

We made it to our second siren in a little town called Fingerville, SC. We were getting our cameras set up and waiting. It was 1:01 pm, and we thought they may have a little delay or something on there, but once we have waited for about two minutes, we knew something was up. At 1:04 pm, I had to go ask one of the fire marshals or fire officers to see if they are testing today or not, and they told me to give the Spartanburg County EMA a call and see what is up. I gave them a call and told them we are waiting for the sirens to go off, and they said they will notify the dispatcher. As a result, it turns out that the EMA was probably not paying attention to the schedule or most likely have some sort of delay. But in conclusion, I saved the day and they started testing their sirens at 1:07 pm.
