Join me as I continue my Florida Trail (FT) thru-hike, pushing north out of Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area (WMA) and into the town of Christmas, Florida!

Winter is officially moving in, and the drop in temperature brings a completely new set of challenges and scenery. While I’m finally hitting my stride and settling into a trail rhythm, the colder air means the trail is getting significantly wetter—making those frequent water crossings a painfully invigorating experience!

The Wild Side of Florida: Animal encounters in the cooler weather and scenery unlike anything I’ve experienced yet!

Contrasting Climates: The surreal reality of facing cold, rainy days in Central Florida while following news of record snowfall hitting SOBO hikers up in the Panhandle! It's a truly upside-down winter on the FT.

Trail History: A quick stop at Illawa, a lesser-known historical landmark on the FT.

Trail: My hat's off to the Florida Trail Association volunteers for building the bridges and walkways that keep this trail alive!

The Town of Christmas: Pushing through the small town as the temperature drops, focused on getting dry and warm in the tent!
