When we are living a godly life, forgiven everyone, repented for pride and turned from sin obeying the Lord and doing what God has called us to do we will be persecuted, lied about, slandered, gossiped, etc as that persecution is designed by Satan to stop our progress, our assignment of the Lord.
Many who will come against you are those who would identify as Christians yet are living very compromised lives - operating out of a spirit of religion, jealousy and designed to turn others against you to stop you from accomplishing all the Lord is having you do. If a religious person sees that you are doing what God has called you to do and you are seeing great fruit in others lives and you are being blessed, they will be used by the enemy to lie about you and persecute you in order to stop you. The demons in them will hate you.
Wherever there is great fruit and progress, stronger persecution will come. Those who do not want or who are not ready for persecution, will often pull back and stop what God desires for them to accomplish. They can’t take the lies and slander from demonically influenced people pretending to be godly. Posers.
When we are persecuted, we must make sure to never stop and understand we must do what the Lord desires and count it all joy when facing persecution. Never give in to what the enemy wants. Never stop giving, serving, and obeying God because persecution comes when your blessing comes.
Remember Paul had many true Christians who didn’t trust him and were afraid of him that he had to overcome.
Remember Nehemiah when he was trying to build a wall around Jerusalem and had others of his own people come against him and those who were their enemies come against him to stop the completion of the wall.
Matthew 5:11 NKJV
““Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.”
I Peter 3:13-18 NKJV
And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,”
James 1:2-8 NKJV
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
