Adventure 5 - Trek to Nandi Kund, Ghiya Vinayak Pass and Brahmi Bugyal

In this episode we headed towards Nandi Kund from where the river Madhu Ganga originates and flows downwards towards Pandav Sera and beyond.
We reached Nandi Kund, which is a high elevation lake located at 4400 meters, in icy topography providing marvelous view. The lake was all frozen when we reached in the second week of June 2024 with snow all around on the mountains, this Himalayan landscape and Nandi Kund provided us the perfect blend of spiritualism and exploration.

The legend says, to pursue meditation and devoutness towards Mahadev, it became the abode of Nandi Dev, the second avatar of Lord Shiv. Nandi Kund is a sacred Lake, particularly significant for spiritual seekers, it is believed, that bathing in the Kund one is granted the blessings of Bholenath.

After this our next target was to ascent Ghiya Vinayak Pass which is at an elevation of 4969 meters. The route was challenging and covered with snow, but fueled with enthusiasm and adrenaline we kept moving towards our goal.
