In this video we are going to look at Carrigogunnel castle and the legend of the irish witch Grana and the Light of Death which is a great story in Irish folklore as well as the history of Carrigogunnel castle itself. Carrigogunnel castle is steeped in history and its story is uniquely Irish. The Irish witch Grana was said to light a candle on top of the castle to lure unsuspecting travelers to their doom so the castle is also called Rock of The Candle. As the Irish myth and Irish Folklore tells us it wasn't until the great warrior Regaun came her way the the candle of the rock was extinguished and the wicked witch Grana was defeated
