DIY STRETCHY FLATS: Simplified

Mabuhay! Today is a Jay Jabbers where we go over the most simple cloth diaper you could ever make. No sewing is involved!

Flats are a workhorse diaper and a staple in many diaper stashes. They’re easy to wash and dry. You can fold them into a rectangle to use with pockets or covers OR you can do fancier folds to wrap around your child. The possibilities are vast!

Stretchy flats are THE easiest diaper to make since there is no sewing involved.

•Buy Fabric
- I suggest a French Terry material. I love the bamboo stretch French Terry.
-GSMs refer to the density and thickness of the fabric. The higher the GSM the more absorbent it is, so please keep that in mind!

Natures Fabric offers a larger variety of colors, GSMs, and fabric blends.

•Prep your fabric by washing it a few times
•measure your fabric to see how much fabric you are working with. You’ll have to do some math to see what you’ll be able to get from them
- I do 30x30inch flats and I’m able to get 4 flats from 2 yards with extra scrap fabric.
-most yards of fabric are 60inches wide and 108inches long, give or take a few inches either way.
-you’ll get MORE flats if you buy more continuous yards. Also keep that in mind!!
