Vertical caving adventure on the Joe Herbst vertical climbing/caving adventure "Community Pillar". Jess and I joined up with our Canadian friends Dave & Kielyn Marrone to climb the route as two parties of two. We bypassed the initial squeeze after Dave got stuck and climbed the left side variation instead. On pitch 3 instead of going up the hand crack variation we climbed the original line up the offwidth. Note to anyone climbing P3 proper, bring Bros (#4) and small nuts! Even with the Bros you will be very runout on 5.8 terrain so be prepared. This climb is an absolute blast and a unique experience unlike any other in the canyon!
