Nowhere in the world is cycling as popular as in Groningen - no less than 60% of all traffic movement in the city is by bicycle. For decades, the bicycle has played a central role in the lives of people in the city. Our cycling conditions are ideal - the city is compact with short cycling distances and it's all flat.
