Cowley Marsh Works Extension Planning Application Approved by Oxford City Council

Описание к видео Cowley Marsh Works Extension Planning Application Approved by Oxford City Council

Oxford City Council Planning Committee considers their own planning application to themselves - extending the only public car park in Oxford that is free (because it's adjacent to the Cowley Marsh Works and used by staff), and destroying the wildflower meadow behind the Works. Despite 147 letters of objection, despite acknowledged breach of Council Core Strategy, despite obvious and recognised lack of openness and transparency and vested interest by the Council, guess what?

Labour Councillors voted it through. Disappointingly predictable - the Council and Depot have been behaving as though the grant of permission was a done deal. The planning application came forward with support from the Labour Cabinet, ignoring the wishes of residents, and breaching Local Plan policies.
