On June 13th, 2023, we chased engineer Marcus and conductor Clay as they made their daily trip to the eastern part of Charlotte, NC.

The Y102 is the main daylight local that services the industries and the NS interchange in downtown Charlotte and surrounding areas.

The train is led by two CSX sd40-3 locomotives that were rebuilt from older sd40-2 locomotives in Huntington, WV, as a part of the rebuild program in 2011.
