Deathmatch is the Best? | Hu tao Weapon Guide | Genshin Impact

I've compared every spear in Genshin Impact and compiled a weapon tier list for Hu tao. To my surprise, some 4* spears are able to outperform some 5* spears. Note that this is pre-hutao release simulations and things could change.

The weapons I mentioned in this video are the ONLY ones worth using to maximize Hu tao's damage.

There are a number of options, there is a best one for each situation, and I'll break it down for you in this guide.

The weapons were compared using a simulator; the damage assumes an E, 4xNC1, Q combo, only crit substats were simulated and balanced according to the weapon at 1:2 CR:CD.

To my surprise, some 4* spears are able to outperform some 5* spears in patch 1.3. This is due to Hu tao relying more on crit stats, HP, EM, and DMG% rather than base attack or ATK%. I have put forward a best-in-slot (BiS) weapon, four strong options, two f2p spears that are very competitive, and covered the new lithic spear.
