Drew Tarver came to the Vulture Emmys lounge to explain his process for re-creating the famous fireplace cry from Call Me by Your Name. “They were like, ‘We’re going to film on Monday morning,’ and I was like, Well, I’ve got to figure this out.” Tarver made himself a sad-sack playlist (John Mayer was involved) and stared contemplatively at the sunset for the whole weekend. On Monday, when he did actually cry on cue for The Other Two’s end credits, he was shocked he pulled it off.
