Shergarh Fort (also known as Qila Shergarh, Bhurkuda Fort) is a ruined Fort in Sasaram (12 km from Chenari) of Bihar. It is a hill fort on a Plateau about 800 feet in height and was fortified by Emperor Sher Shah Suri. The fort is in dense forest which makes it hard for the people who on the bottom of the plateau. The plateau lies at the bank of the Durgavati River.
The fort was between 1540 to 1545 built by Emperor Sher Shah Suri In 16th century the fort was known as Bhurkuda Qila It is also calimed that the fort was made by Kharwar rulers which was captured by Sher Shah Suri in 1530.

The area of the fort is nearly 6 sq. Miles. Its main enterance had 8 small domes but now there are only five. One kilometre from the main enterance is a lake which is called Rani Pokhra (Queen's pond), after that on other hill there is underground fort.
