Our First Impressions Of Portugal

Welcome to Porto, a beautiful European city in the heart of Portugal. From it's history, authentic architecture and food scene, this Portuguese city has everything you can dream of for the best getaway ever!

After going out for the perfect waffle breakfast at a cute little café called Diplomata and a quick visit at the Clérigos Tower to enjoy some beautiful views, we went back to our Airbnb to meet up with my parents who came to meet us all the way from Canada.

Our first stop was the world famous Livraria Lello also know as Lello bookstore. This place is known to be one of J.K. Rowling's inspiration for Harry Potter, which is pretty cool. Make sure to buy your ticket in advance and keep in mind that if you buy a book from them, you can use the price of the entry as a voucher.

Then it was time to was around Old Porto before heading to an unexpectedly amazing sunset cruise with the best crew ever! Some porto, pastel de nata, great company and stunning views of the city, this was hard to be. Seeing Porto from the water, is a must! We highly suggest Boating Port.

Finally, we ended the day with an amazing Portugese meal away from the tourist areas at Taberna do Cais das Pedras. A pure delight.
