BMW i3s Trunk Extention Installation

I show you how to install a Trunk Extention for the BMW i3s.

This BMW i3s trunk extention under the existing trunk offers an additional 35 liters of storage. For example for charging accessories. Whether you’re packing for a vacation, a roadtrip, or just want a tidy trunk, the BMW i3s Trunk Extention gives you a lot more storage space.

The trunk extension is easy to install and can be removed without leaving any traces. Therefore it is suitable for leased cars as well.

🛠 INSTALLATION
1) Empty your trunk and take out everything you might have stored in the nets on the side. Then take off the trunk cover
2) Remove all 8 screws of the aluminium cover usingthe provided bit. Take away the cover. It might stick a little bit. Do not use sharp leavers!Otherwise you could damage a sealing.
3) Now you have free access to the motor compartment. Gently pull the two orange, ripped cables on top out of their clamping.
4) Gently pull cable Binto the direction of the motor to give it more length. Then reinsert it into the front clamping the furthest to the left you can.
5) Gently pullcable Ainto the direction of the motor to lengthen it as well. Then guide cable Aover cable Band install in into the clamping on the back. The cable pathing is nowmuch better.
6) There should be much more space in the marked area now. You need to insert the provided neoprene rivet nut into the hole of the carrier beam on the bottom of the motor compartment.
7) Carefully insert the trunkextension into the free space. Position the holes above the threadof the neoprene rivet nuts below.
8) Use the provided screw to connect the trunk extension in the bottom with the carrier beam of the motor compartment. Do gently hand fasten the screw only!
9) Reinstallthe previously removed 8 screws. Do only tighten them by hand and without much force. Tipp: Give a drop of oil on the thread of each screw.
10)Store all the things in your trunk extension you always want to have with you.Finally re install the trunk floor plate and you are done!Have fun and always a save ride.

* It fits into every BMW i3 and BMW i3s without the Range Extender option no matter what production year you have.
* You can have the 60Ah, 94Ah or 120Ah battery, as long as you have no REX you can use the trunk extension.
* You can still intall it even if you lower your car or use distance plates to widen the track and still have a nice and tidy boot because.
* The heat pump and the hardware of the Harman Kardon Sound System is installed somewhere else in the car an so you can still use the additional 35 liters of trunk space.
* This is the 4th generation of the BMW i3 trunk extension in which we have implemented all the improvements of the past years.
* The additional space is more than enough to store everything you need as an EV-driver.
* The trunk extension is designed for a total load of 7,8 kg.
* Charging cables, extension cords, first aid kit, tire repair kit, hazard triangle, safety vest will fit easily and will even leave more space for other stuff.
* Bigger, mobile charging devices like NRGkick or JuiceBooster do also fit.
