This is a dialogue-free film capturing the timeless beauty of the Markha Valley Trek in Ladakh — a journey in the Himalayas through India’s largest national park, Hemis National Park. Known for its vast high-altitude deserts, ancient monasteries, and villages tucked between mountain gorges, the valley reveals a side of the Himalayas that is both spiritual and untamed.

Our journey began from Skiu village, passing through Markha and Hankar, and onward to the windswept meadows of Nimaling, before crossing the high Kongmaru La Pass at over 17,000 feet. Along the way, we traversed icy streams, barley fields, and canyons lined with mani stones carved in Tibetan script — all framed by the majestic Kang Yatse Peak.

We stayed with families in traditional Ladakhi homes, experienced their warmth, and witnessed the simplicity of mountain life far from the noise of cities. Each step through the valley carried the silence and rhythm of the land — a reminder of nature’s quiet strength and grace.
