“And she gave birth to a son—a male child—who is destined to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up to God and to His throne.

This verse speaks in powerful symbols, revealing the story of Jesus Christ through the language of vision and prophecy. The woman represents God’s people, through whom the Savior came into the world. The male child is Jesus—the promised Messiah—born into a world of conflict, yet carrying divine authority.

To ‘rule all nations with a rod of iron’ does not speak of cruelty, but of righteous authority. It points to Christ’s ultimate reign—one founded on justice, truth, and the unshakable will of God.

The child being ‘caught up to God and to His throne’ points to Christ’s victory. Though He faced suffering, rejection, and the cross, death could not hold Him. He rose again, ascended into heaven, and now reigns in glory at the right hand of God.

This verse reminds us that God’s plan cannot be stopped. From birth to throne, Jesus fulfills every promise. Evil may resist, but it will not prevail.
