Section 83 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) deals with the attachment of property of a person who has absconded. The section allows the court to order the attachment of movable or immovable property belonging to the absconding person. 

1.The court can order the attachment of property at any time after issuing a proclamation under Section 82

2.The court can order the attachment simultaneously with the proclamation if it is satisfied that the person is about to dispose of or remove their property.

3.The attachment can be made by seizure, appointing a receiver, or an order in writing prohibiting the delivery of the property.

4.The court can attach any property within the district where the order is made.


5.The District Magistrate can endorse the order to attach property outside the district where the order is made.

6.The court can attach property if it has reason to believe that the person is trying to dispose of or transfer the property outside the court's jurisdiction.
