My own arrangement of a Book of Mormon banger for trombone, voice and drums. "You and Me (But Mostly Me)" immediately became an obstinate earworm. Within a few weeks, I had transcribed the piece, from scratch, for trombones and voice, using Moises AI to separate the tracks of the original number song to aid with my transcription.
I then recorded the song over the following week, recording trombones one-by-one to stack up a 40-strong multitrack project file. I originally recorded the vocals for both Elder Price and Elder Cunningham by myself, and completed the first full draft of the recording. Many thanks to Darragh Tibbs for his input in the mixing at this stage!

I decided at this point if I wanted to release the song, I would need a video to accompany it. Jarlath enthusiastically came on board to play the part of Cunningham, and we set about adding his vocals to the recording, and devising some choreography, a tricky feat given our utter lack of experience in this area.

Finally, we pulled together the resources to shoot the video, which we were able to complete in one day, shot by the wonderful Liam.
After another month or so of post-production, we finally had something to show for it...

An amusing little project, and really an experiment for our team to try out something new for all of us.
