Τzoumakers: The birth of an open source agricultural community (prequel with English subs)

In mountainous Tzoumerka (Epirus, Greece), farmers and scientists create a community to build their practical solutions and tools for their production needs, using modern technologies. Knowledge and technological tools become common goods in the hands of the people who create them, use them for themselves and their fellows - with respect to the place they sharing takes place - and interconnect with communities across the globe with similar needs. In this way, they participate in the networking of free knowledge, technology and culture, for the transition to a production model based on openness, cooperation and the richness of nature and human relations.

Στην ορεινή Ήπειρο, αγρότες και επιστήμονες δημιουργούν, συλλογικά και ισότιμα, μια κοινότητα, με στόχο να κατασκευάζουν τις δικές τους πρακτικές λύσεις και εργαλεία για τις δικές τους ανάγκες στην παραγωγή, αξιοποιώντας τις σύγχρονες τεχνολογίες. Η γνώση και τα τεχνολογικά εργαλεία γίνονται κοινά αγαθά, στα χέρια των ανθρώπων που τα δημιουργούν, τα χρησιμοποιούν για τους ίδιους και τους συνανθρώπους τους – με σεβασμό στον τόπο που μοιράζονται – και διασυνδέονται με κοινότητες σε όλο τον πλανήτη, που έχουν παρόμοιες ανάγκες. Με τον τρόπο αυτό, συμμετέχουν σε μια υπερτοπική δικτύωση ελεύθερης γνώσης, τεχνολογίας και πολιτισμού, για τη μετάβαση σε ένα μοντέλο παραγωγής, βασισμένο στην ανοικτότητα, στη συνεργασία, στον πλούτο της φύσης και των ανθρώπινων σχέσεων.
