Our drive to Mysuru a couple of weeks ago turned out to be a bit of an adventure given the unusually heavy rainfall we’ve witnessed in Karnataka in the recent past. But like they say, every dark cloud has a silver lining. Thanks to the road diversions, I got the opportunity to introduce the boss to the ‘fluffy as a cloud’ Shashi Bidadi Thatte Idli, and also take the scenic route to our heritage abode, Royal Orchid Metropole Mysore, in the palace city.
