Boa constrictors are among the most infamous snakes on the planet, and their reputation for being aggressive and powerful predators has made them an object of fear for people all over the world. However, we have spent our lives working with wildlife of all descriptions, and it is almost always the case that the stories we hear of deadly and dangerous animals are really just misunderstandings blown way out of proportion.

Today, we have finally fulfilled our lifelong dream of visiting the incredible country of Ecuador in search of one of South America's most iconic serpents, the black-tailed boa! The mission? Find out if these snakes are actually dangerous to people, or if their true story reflects an entirely different nature. You won't want to miss this!
