Meridian is a Alternative Metal Band based out of Tallahassee, Florida. The band has been performing in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Meridian has recently finished filming a documentary entitled "OutLoud" which features live performances and interviews with the band. The show will air on WFSU-TV in Tallahassee, Florida. Meridian also recently had an opportunity participate in the X101.5 morning show - The Morning X. The guys had a great time during the interview portion and got a chance to do an acoustic version of one of their songs as wll as have their NEW demo played on the air. Meridian's music can be heard Sunday nights on the X101.5 "Locals Only" show in Tallahassee, Florida and on "The Middle of Nowhere" Locals Only show on 97X in Panama City, Florida.
The television show and the radio show were both great experiences but the highlight of this year was being invited to open the X-Cess Fest at Floyd's Music Store in Tallahassee, Florida. It was a great night, with over 800 in attendance. Meridian started the show, which featured Socialburn(Elektra), New Address(Atlantic), Standstill(Atlantic), and Presence(Curb). It has been a busy year. Meridian is eager to continue performing their HARD - HITTING original music to live audiences and epanding their growing fan base.

Meridian consists of four talented musicians: Robert Ramsey - vocals, Mike Green - guitar, Van Phinazee - drums, and Richard Butler - bass. All are natives of South Georgia and have influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac and Lynyrd Skynyrd to Ratt, Motley Crue, Sevendust, and Korn. These influences run the spectrum but mesh together to form Meridian. The four members of the band are focused on the future. They intend to take full advantage of all opportunities they are given to share their unique blend of Modern Rock with others. Meridian is interested in performing at Venues that welcome Origianl music into their "House" and earning the admiration and respect of new fans. Their long term goal is to gain knowledge about the Music Business, support of those in the Business, and progress as a band to the "Next" level!
