These prehistoric cave paintings, created by early humans over 8,000 years ago, shocked archaeologists studying ancient history and early belief systems. Hidden deep in the Sahara Desert, Wadi Sura II, also known as The Cave of Beasts, revealed imagery unlike anything seen in prehistoric art before.

Instead of normal animals or hunting scenes, the cave walls showed headless beasts, floating human figures, and disturbing hybrid forms. Some figures appear to swim through empty space. Others seem to be swallowed by massive, three-legged creatures. This was not how prehistoric people usually depicted their world.
