Pipes In Heating System - Velocity and Diameter

Описание к видео Pipes In Heating System - Velocity and Diameter

Hello everyone and welcome to the new episode of the HVAC Education Hub Channel.

In this episode, we will explain what is the pipe velocity and why it is important to have a good design of hydraulic pipe system in our heating system.

The design of the hydraulic pipe system in our heating system plays a crucial role in maintaining the ideal velocity of around 1 m/s. This velocity is essential for effective communication between the heat required and the emitters such as radiators, underfloor heating, or fan coils.

If the pipe is too small, it results in high velocity, leading to noise and significant pressure drop.

Conversely, if the pipe is too large, low velocity can cause dirt accumulation and air trapping. The main issue lies in having a diameter that is too small, affecting the overall efficiency of the system.
