Prenatal Teaching: Sowing Seeds of Wisdom - Formless Manifest 39 | Pure Road .
[Verse 1]
When I am pregnant in the light of the Mahayana,
I nurture not only the body, but also the roots of wisdom,
Each Dharma phrase seeps into the silent mind,
Sowing seeds of awakening from the time in the womb.
[Verse 2]
Prenatal teaching is not stuffing in knowledge,
But planting affinities with unborn wisdom,
Listening to the Mahayana in natural joy,
Is opening the gate of Buddha wisdom within my child.
[Pre-Chorus]
I listen to the Dharma without striving,
Only with joy, quietly receiving,
Seeds of right view silently
Follow the stream of consciousness deep into my child’s mind.
[Chorus]
I am sowing causes of wisdom for my child,
Through the gentle sound of the Mahayana,
No forcing, no heavy instruction,
But light permeating each tender breath.
When my child grows, just one line of Dharma
Will be enough to spark a question,
From a single doubt, the door of wisdom opens,
The seed planted today… becomes awakening tomorrow.
[Verse 3]
If my child does not hold wrong views about the self,
Does not mistake body and mind as truly real,
Then Buddha wisdom, already present in the true nature,
Will naturally unfold, without searching far away.
[Bridge]
I understand prenatal teaching is sowing transcendent causes,
Not just for one life, but for many lives ahead,
One Mahayana phrase entering a child’s consciousness
Is a guiding lamp across the wondrous sea of suffering.
[Chorus – deep repeat]
I am sowing causes of wisdom for my child,
With a peaceful heart, with the wondrous Mahayana Dharma,
No need to teach much, no need to speak loudly,
Just the right conditions… and the seed of awakening will bloom in the future.
[Outro]
I know my child is not only a child of this one life,
But a stream of consciousness moving toward awakening,
Prenatal teaching today is a wholesome cause being planted,
So that one day… my child continues the Bodhisattva path to liberate beings
