Community Immunity Educator Toolkit: Teaching about COVID Vaccines accompanies Hip Hop Public Health’s Community Immunity: Teen Takeover Educator Toolkit to help you continue leading through these tricky topics from a place of clarity, accuracy, warmth and connection.

This short video provides educators with guidance we’ve collected from leading vaccine education experts. These guiding principles can be useful to you whether you are formally teaching about COVID-19 or having informal conversations as the topics arise.

Community Immunity: A Rap Anthology About Vaccines is a COVID-19 public information campaign from Hip Hop Public Health. A suite of free resources aimed at increasing COVID-19 vaccine coverage in communities of color, this animated rap anthology deconstructs vaccine literacy into in a series of seven animated videos featuring the voice of Grammy®-winning rapper and HHPH Advisory Board member Darryl DMC McDaniels of Run-DMC, along with award-winning producer Artie Green and singer-songwriter Gerry Gunn. Medical oversight was provided by our founder, Dr. Olajide Williams, Dr. Melissa Stockwell and our advisory board member, Dr. Monique Hedmann-Maxey.

Community Immunity Part 7 features verses written and recorded by Baltimore, Maryland, youth artists TayyBandz, Young Elder and Soul from HeartSmiles MD, in collaboration with multi-platinum producer Artie Green. The video highlights the importance of teen vaccination and the critical role that young people play in the fight against COVID-19.
