What Happens if You Max Out Your Character in Dark Souls on the First Playthrough?

I used a save editor in Dark Souls to max out my stats to see how far I could get into the first playthough until the game started to resist and become harder... It didn't take long.

I actually enjoyed this more than the usual challenge.
