The PPP loan are loans funded by the SBA (Small Business Administration). SBA approved lenders like local banks are the ones in charge of processing these loans for consumers. PPP loans are part of the $349 Billion given to the SBA from the US Department of Treasury from the total $2.2 Trillion CARES Act stimulus package.
