World’s Largest Fork

The city of Springfield is home to a 35-foot-tall eating utensil promoted as “the world’s largest fork.” Springfield, Missouri State University’s home, lies an hour north of Branson in the state’s southern region. It has a gorgeous natural setting interspersed with cultural outlets to dive into, with significant social landmarks and a wealth of recreational options. Springfield is the place to go if you’re searching for a terrific underground adventure or a glimpse into Civil War history. Everyone you meet in Springfield appears eager to greet you, whether it’s local kids, community people, or creatures from the Dickerson Park Zoo. Thanks to the adjacent Ozark landscapes, the city has a Midwest charm portrayed by these cheerful faces and adventurous nature. Of course, Springfield, being the birthplace of Route 66, is also an excellent site to visit on a road trip.

This video will be looking at one of Springfield’s roadside attractions, the world’s largest fork, as well as the world’s largest noodle.

The fork was designed in the 1990s to sit in front of Churchill’s Coffee on S. Glenstone Ave., now Primas. The fork is made of stainless steel, weighs 11 tons, and is 35 feet tall. Noble and Associates (the fork’s designers) transferred it to their Food Channel headquarters in the Chesterfield Village section of Springfield after the restaurant behind it closed. So even though it is tucked away from the main road, it still stands proudly on The Food Channel’s premises for all to see.
