Woodturning a Rubik's cube ball (or sphere) encased in resin. It's resin art! In this video I will demonstrate how to create an object embedded in resin; in this case a small plastic Rubik cube. Thanks to my Nephew Josh who inspired this project.

Over the years I've made numerous lathe turned wooden balls and the process is similar no matter the size of the ball. But with this project the challenge was to center the Rubik cube as exact as possible to the lathe's center line between the head-stock and tail-stock spurs. Any off centering would result in the cube not being centered in the final ball. In the video I discuss what steps I took and what needed to be thought thru before proceeding to the next.
