Iran's presidential race has reached a fever pitch as the two main candidates made their last public appeals before Friday's vote.
Iranian law prohibits public campaigning the day before an election and so tens of thousands of Iranians flocked to the streets to rally behind their candidate one last time.
(pause for nat sound of chanting)
The two men at the center of it all are current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the pro-reform challenger Mir Hossein Mousavi (moo-sah-vee).
Ahmadinejad spent his last day on the offensive, accusing his opponent of lying about Iran's economic troubles to sway voters.
He also says Mousavi has been directing "insults, slanders and immoralities" at him.
Mousavi on the other hand reassured his supporters that under no circumstances would he abandon the race.
The former prime minister has become wildly popular with the country's younger voters and is counting a strong turnout from them.
A runoff will be held later in the month if neither gets 50 percent of the vote.
However whoever wins won't be able to wield much power as the non-elected theocracy controls all major decisions and directly oversees key government posts.
