Exploring The Hot Boise Housing Market (and Hotter Wings)

The Boise housing market has become one of the hottest, and surprisingly most unaffordable, areas of the United States. What was for decades a relatively sleepy city has now seen an injection of investment from tech companies, real estate acquisition firms, and families simply wanting to rebuild the “American Dream”. But, is the Boise, Idaho hype fueled by a truly hot housing market or just lockdown-exhausted homebuyers?

We sent Jamil Damji, our go-to wholesaler and market analyzer, up to Boise so he could walk the market, talk to some agents, and most importantly, try their chicken wings. Unfortunately, Jamil’s opinion on the wing scene may not entirely translate, but the housing market stats don’t lie. With nineteen percent appreciation growth, twenty percent rent growth, and close to three percent population growth, Boise’s real estate market is booming.
