To get the perfect guitar set up, you often need to change the angle of the heel. In this video, I measure the height difference I need at the bridge, and use simple math to work out the exact shim thickness I need. I use hardwood veneer and glue it in place, then finish with 120g sandpaper. With this bass, the floor of the neck pocket route is uneven and needs a little more work than is usually necessary.
