Gainlab Audio EMPRESS valve equalizer takes the classic Pultec EQP-1 design and updates it with additional features for modern setups.


Empress offers three bands on each channel. Low and High frequencies can be set to shelf or bell and have separate controls for boost and cut to create a resonant shelf. Low Boost and High-Cut shift switches move the mid-frequency of the boost and cut relative to each other with the Mid-Frequency band offering a wide range of frequencies between 200Hz to 7kHz. A highly musical, yet refined equalizer.
