NSW Police Bodycam: Millionaire Mansion Tour With Detectives

On the 3rd of June 2019, Detectives arrested Salim Mehajer for breaching his bail conditions. Salim Mehajer is known formally as the former deputy mayor of a Sydney suburb, property developer and criminal. Detectives let Mehajer see that he is under arrest and is now in their custody for the time being. Mehajer had to dress up before going outside with officers back to Burwood police station to be charged. He took more than 10 minutes to leave his Lidcombe home moisturising and to put on cologne.

The bail conditions were set after he left Cooma Corrections Centre, and he was not to contact a specific individual. He was sentenced to Cooma Jail months before this bodycam footage for election fraud. The footage comes from a review of bail conditions hearing where Mr Mehajer requested access to a mobile phone. This request was rejected. (2019)

Salim Mehajer at this time, is still in prison awaiting trial set on the 27th of March 2023 for a domestic violence charge against his former partner Melissa Tysoe.
